Wake up early, Texas. Chris Sanchez of “Inside Austin” interviewed The Texas Testosterone Festival today for nearly 30 minutes (like wringing water from a wet sponge) and will broadcast the interview this Sunday morning at 6:00 AM on KAMX Mix 94.7 FM, 7:00 AM on KKMJ Majik 95.5 FM, and then at the human hour of 7:00 PM on KJCE TalkRadio 1370 AM.
Chris is hella-cool and if he doesn’t make us sound like an ass on the air (we did see him fiddling with a switch that said “pitchshifter” on it) we will be wishing him good fortune with his Fantasy Football picks this season.
If he does make us sound like an ass? We’ll hope he drafts Steve McNair, with Brett Favre as a backup.
You’re the man, Chris. YOU… are the man.
Homebrew Demonstration by Austin Homebrew Supply

Our poker games rarely get more than a few guys ready to give us their money at the table. But a good buddy brews his own beer and his poker games are packed with guys eager to drain the latest keg in a converted refrigerator in the garage. This buddy makes a weekly pilgrimage to Austin Homebrew Supply on Burnet Rd. in Austin.
JB at Austin Homebrew Supply is the king of homebrew in Central Texas - part bartender, part connoisseur, and all mad scientist, JB will bring his beer wisdom and beer making stuff to the Featured Event Stage of the Texas Testosterone Festival to demonstrate how homebrewing is done for the novices, and how it can be perfected for the experts.
Bring your notepads, questions, and palate to The Texas Testosterone Festival Saturday August 15 and show up when the doors open at 10:00 AM for your own beer pilgrimage. And quick note - the Cash Bar, presented by DWIDude.com, will be open and serving when the Festival doors open - so you can get in the… mood.
Amir Sadollah UFC 101 Betting Line
MMAMania.com reports Amir Sadollah is the favorite going into his fight with the lowly Johny Hendricks August 8. Amir is a -130 (meaning you would have to bet $130 to win $100. Hendricks is Even.
Biggest favorites on the card are Anderson Silva and Thales Leites at -350 and biggest underdogs are their opponents (of course) Forrest Griffin and Alessio Sakara, respectively, at +250 (bet $100 to win $250).
Our picks are Sadollah (-130), Griffin (+250), Kenny Florian (+180 but expect him to become a bigger underdog as the fight nears), and Ricardo Almeida (-165). Sadollah is making his debut at 170 pounds.
These lines will move.

Comedians vs. Bikinis’ Big Buckin’ Burger
The Texas Testosterone Festival and Last Gas Comedy recently asked comedians Chris Cubas, Joe Staats, and Jake Flores to attempt to eat Bikinis Bar and Grill’s Big Buckin Burger. Below is the Preview video as well as the Full video documenting their attempts to consume the behemoth burger. Hilarity ensues.

Austin Turfcats Can’t Upset Swashbucklers
The Austin Turfcats were heading to hostile territory for tonight’s SIFL championships against a team that has shown little weakness during its 12-1 season. As they have most of the rest of the competition this season, the Louisiana Swashbucklers scored early, scored often, and scored more.
The Austin Turfcats finish their inaugural season short of the championship but have much to be proud of - including drawing nearly 4000 fans to their final homegame of the season last weekend, a barn-burning, back-and-forth affair that needed an Overtime to determine a winner.
Tonight’s game, on the other hand, was anything but “back-and-forth”. The Swashbucklers ran up an early 21-0 lead in the first quarter and capitalized on Turfcats errors to hold that 21 point difference right to the final score of 59-38.
The Turfcats join the Austin Toros as the second pro team in Austin to come just short of a championship this season. The Toros were knocked out of their playoffs in a semi-final game most observers believed was a matchup of the two best teams in the NBA’s D-League 2009 season. Both the Toros and the Turfcats promise to deliver more exciting pro sports in 2010.
Join The Texas Testosterone Festival for The Central Texas Pro Sports Roundtable on Saturday August 15. More details very soon!
