Bikini Guru on… Getting Your Girl the Sexiest Bikini Possible

Resident Bikini Guru Amy Pitre of SugarBaby Swimwear gives us her advice on sexy bikinis from the female perspective.

1. The sexiest bikinis find a way to bare a lot but there are some that bare (curse us for admitting this) too much. Where is the line?

Amy of SugarBabySwimwear.com: The line is drawn inside the woman’s head - it’s what she sees and feels when she checks out herself in her bikini in the mirror……And guys you know there’s no telling WHY, WHAT , WHERE or HOW that line is drawn……

My personal pet peeves are unkept bikini lines, bikini bottoms that are too loose, therefore sagging like a dirty diaper, or strings not properly tied, or not tied tight enough……

Tan lines, not so bad…..Tan lines can be sexy sometimes……

2. Is there any correlation between the bikinis guys like to look at and the bikinis that are comfortable for a woman to wear?

Amy of SugarBaby Swimwear: I see guys checking out bikinis displayed on mannequins in the mall all the time, so that answer would be - Nope, don’t think so……

3. How does a guy buy his wife or girlfriend a bikini as a surprise that will motivate her to get or stay in shape?

Amy of SugarBaby Swimwear: Ok, as surprise or motivation, I would start in the beginning of the first quarter of the year. Get something new, bright, in her favorite colors. (Refer to the guide in question #4). This will give her enough time to get “BikiniLicious” for the summer.
Oh, and it always works to throw a deadline with it. For example, tell her you got this great bikini for her to debut her hot bikini body at some exotic destination you’re taking her to. There’s no better motivation than that! Believe me…..And don’t just take her down to Barton Springs or the neighborhood pool for all her hard work……Although Devil’s Cove by Memorial Day Weekend is always a big motivation for lots I know……..

4. How do we find her size if she doesn’t already own a bikini?

Amy of SugarBaby Swimwear: This one is tricky…..The Golden Rule when buying a woman ANYTHING she will be wearing on her body is - always err toward the smaller size.

Here’s a guide from a woman’s perspective:
a) If you’re thinking she’s a small, Buy a small….
b) If you’re thinking she’s a medium, Buy a small….
c)If you’re thinking she’s a large, Buy a Small/Medium, or a Medium….Buying a small may upset her a little and make her think you really would rather a smaller woman……Then you’re in trouble. Again.

You can always look at her current bikini size ( I would check more than one suit to gauge a better estimate, or one she wears most)….Just don’t let her catch you rifling through her bikinis, this could raise all kinds of questioning that will be almost impossible to explain your way out of……

5. What bikini have you owned the longest and why?

Amy of SugarBaby Swimwear: I have a blue multi-colored gingham that I bought in 1994…….I’ve saved it all these years because it was the first suit I splurged on and spent a couple weeks on the beach in Fort Lauderdale in it…Good times…..And it still looks great!

Bikini Contest and Crawfish Boil in Austin Saturday

Our favorite place to drink and eat, Bikinis Bar and Grill, is hosting their 1st Annual Crawfish Boil and Bikini Contest this Saturday, May 30.  The event starts at 3:00 and the bikini contest will be held around 6:00. 

We checked out the Crawfish Boil and Bikini Contest at Bikinis San Marcos location and won’t be missing out on this one either. Beer specials! Just a great hang. Bikini Contest! Need we say more?

At the San Marcos Crawfish boil a waitress won their Crawfish-eating contest. That’s entertainment.

A Busy Saturday in Central Texas

Keep an eye out for us on Saturday at all these places.

Starting at noon at the Travis County Expo Center is the Mean Streets Car Show with Playboy model Shannon Shay (fans), a Neon Glow Off by Annihilator Customs (fans of Annihilator), and Live Music from boatloads of bands, including the band with the official theme song of The Texas Testosterone Festival, Downsiid (big fans). There’s a bunch of other stuff as well - definitely a great afternoon is in store.

Your Austin Turfcats, the professional indoor football team, take to the field at 6:30 to face rival the Texas Pirates. The Turfcats are 3-1 and tied for the lead in the Southern Indoor Football League.  Indoor football is a blast, folks. Besides, we’re not the only ones needing a football fix in May. The Turfcats play at adfirmative.com field in the Travis County Expo Center so you don’t have far to go.

From the Turfcats, make your way to Bikini’s Bar and Grill for UFC 98, Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida, Matt Serra vs. Matt Hughes, and the return of the mighty Pat Barry.

Cars and motorbikes, playboy model, football, mixed martial arts, beautiful women in bikinis serving us two pound hamburgers and cold beer… Thrown together, all this stuff is like a testosterone festival unto itself. Tough job, but we have to do it. Honey, we’ll be gone all day on Saturday.

Austin’s UFC Headquarters? Bikinis on IH-35

The usual jitters are starting to kick in - the jitters that usually set in about 72 hours before a UFC show, the excitement building as the matchups are analyzed and considered. This Saturday’s UFC 98 features undefeated Light-Heavyweight Rashad Evans vs. undefeated contender Lyoto Machida and the long-awaited grudge match between Matt Hughes and Matt Serra.

There are a number of places to watch the show but the crowd at Bikinis is knowledgable about MMA, local pro fighters like the great Paul Buentello are sometimes in attendance, great plasma TV’s, and the scenery is… awesome. 

We’ll be at the IH-35 location in Austin. If you see us, come say hey. We’ll be the ones arguing Matt Serra is going to take Hughes to the judges (but probably lose a closer decision than you’d think) and both Evans and Machida are future Middleweight champions (that’s right, the Anderson Silva myth will be exposed! please don’t throw your food at us).

In other news, we’re picking Dan Miller to beat Chael Sonnen and begin making a strong case for a Middleweight title shot, we’re hoping we get to see Pat Barry kick the hell out of Tim Hague on the PPV, and we’re hoping to get to see George Roop vs. Dave Kaplan as well. We’re expecting a lot of decisions on the card, preventing the undercard fights from being shown, but there is only one title fight so that gives optimism there will be time for at least a couple. 

Some people are picking Evans vs. Machida to be boring but both have won multiple fights by KO/TKO of late so anything can happen - and that makes it exciting.

Cindie’s Lingerie & Gifts Presents The Greatest Bikini Contest

We just wouldn’t be a respectable Testosterone Festival if we weren’t looking for every excuse possible to have beautiful girls in bikinis. And we will deliver.

The hottest women in Central Texas compete for cash and prizes in Cindie’s Lingerie and Gifts Presents The Greatest Bikini Contest in the History of the Great State of Texas on Saturday, August 15. The contest is managed by Bikinis Bar and Grill. First place is $200 cash and a free entry into the First Annual Texas Fit Model Search later that day. Prizes will be furnished for all contestants.

Judges are expected to include UFC Ultimate Fighter Amir Sadollah, Jiu Jitsu legend Relson Gracie, WEC Fighter and Gracie Black Belt Phil Cardella, Ladd Biro of the Dallas Morning News, and Steve Sievert, formerly of the Houston Chronicle, and whoever bribes us with enough money to forget our principals (it doesn’t take much), all fine judges of taste and character.

Come See Grown Men Cry - Competitive Eating at Bikinis August 9

We have one Featured Event that is so powerful in concept and so thrilling in delivery that it couldn’t be contained within The Texas Testosterone Festival and the walls of The Palmer Events Center. ‘Come See Grown Men Cry’ at Bikinis Bar and Grill on IH-35 in Austin on Sunday, August 9 at 3:00 PM. Our special guest will be former Tamale Eating World Record Holder Levi Oliver.

5 Minutes. No Eyeglasses or Noseclips allowed. No Tissues. $200 cash to the real man (or woman) who can eat the most raw onion. Levi will be there to make sure the competition is fair but no one will be there to stop the tears.

To be eligible to compete, visit the Bikinis Bar and Grill in Austin, San Marcos, or San Antonio and consume Bikinis’ Big Buckin Burger. You’ll receive a t-shirt and an invitation to compete in ‘Come See Grown Men Cry’. There will be a limited number of competitors so show up early to register with your invitation. An invitation does not guarantee entry into the competition.

‘Come See Grown Men Cry’ is also an opportunity to register for the numerous competitions and seminars being held the following weekend at The Texas Testosterone Festival. The Fantasy Poker League will be running their regular Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournaments at Bikini’s at 6:00 and 8:30 PM so there will be no reason to leave after the boo-hoo is over.
