Exclusive Video of Amazing KO at Beatdown for the Brave
This is the much-talked-about KO by Robert Reavis of Zac Childers for the BACA Middleweight Title on Friday night during the Beatdown for the Brave show in Harker Heights, TX. Childers stood up shortly after the KO and was able to stand in the center of the ring for the official results announcement.
This video is only of the second round. We have the first round and will try to get the complete online in the next few weeks.
We hope to have more video and photos from this show up sooner than that but rushed this video up. Respect to Reavis, he has a mean right hook. And respect to Childers, who will be back in the cage soon to get back to his winning ways. Big things are ahead for both these fighters.
Amazing KO caps Beatdown for the Brave. Two Belts Delivered
The Middleweight Title was on the line and Austinite Zac Childers had the experience and game to take the belt. However, Robert Reavis of Dallas brought an elusive counter-punch and a well-placed right hook to Childers’ jaw that sent Childers to sleep long before his body reached the mat.
Reavis was the underdog of the bout and seemed exceptionally modest about his victory. “One lucky punch,” he repeated to several people near the dressing room. But the remark discounts a gameplan that countered Childers’ attempts to tie Reavis up with short jabs and crisp hooks. The first round started slow with Reavis seemingly tentative to engage. When Childers lost patience with the lack of action he stormed Reavis, eating short, tight punches but throwing larger punches of his own. The round became exciting but most of us began to settle in for what seemed possible to be a 5 round affair.

The second round began with punches missing from both fighters. Reavis missed with a hook that had some meat on it but Childers was giving more than he was getting… until Reavis caught him with his hands down with a right hook that put Childers on his back and the crowd on its feet.
Robert Reavis becomes the Middle weight Champion of BACA with a decisive upset victory and the KO of the night. We have video of this amazing knock out and will post it on our Youtube page as soon as we can.
Reavis’ teammate Jimmy Alexander was looking to defeat the much younger Jimmy Flick in his bid to be BACA’s 125 pound champion but Flick was looking to avenge an earlier loss by his brother Danny Flick to Alexander. A wild opening to the bout included several KO-quality punches from each fighter, solid groundwork, and seemingly a flash KO of Flick but Flick turned a ground scramble into a rear-naked choke that ran high on Alexander’s head but deep under his throat and Alexander had to tap to 18 year old Jimmy Flick.
Jimmy Flick becomes the first Bantam weight Champion of BACA and, with his fourth amateur MMA fight, becomes a fighter to keep your eye out for at 125.

Beatdown for the Brave Weigh-In Results
Joe Gorman 145
Benny Serrano 149.25
Benny Serrano weighed in naked surrounded by his crew and was still 4.25 pounds over. Gorman asked Serrano use the 60 minutes to drop to 147 and Serrano took to his sweat-suit. When weigh-ins were over about 30 minutes later, Gorman accepted the fight with Serrano without another weigh-in.

Scooter Glaustenshire 161.75
James Vick (did not weigh-in)
James Vick reportedly was having car trouble and has been given until tomorrow to check-in and weigh-in for the event, a great piece of fortune for both Glaustenshire and Vick.
Tim Groehl 185
Sean Holden 183
Groehl takes the award for most intimidating presence on the fight card. Groehl is chiseled, focused, and covered in tattoos… then he puts on his glasses and pulls a Clark Kent on you. Holden looks to be in great shape as well. Promises to be an exciting fight.

Danny Flick 129.75
Jonathan Rivera 126
Flick is the older of the two Flicks on the card at 20. Rivera was late to the scheduled weigh-in but arrived after everyone else had left for dinner. Both fighters are within the allowance.
Donathan Hill 169.5
Louis Flores 169.75
No animosity but definite intensity from both these athletes.

Andre Kavanaugh 200.75
Ken Krentz 200.5
Two very different athletes colliding tomorrow night, the biggest athletes on the card. Definitely a fight to watch for.

Jamison Brown 154.25
Burt McDonald 156.75
Both fighters look to be in great shape for this fight.

125 pound title fight:
Jimmy Flick 124.5
Jimmy Alexander 124.25
Flick doesn’t celebrate his 19th birthday until September. Alexander is the more experienced fighter, over 10 years older than Flick, and is physically more imposing than Flick. A very important fight for both fighters. Flick won his MMA debut in April against Jonathan Rivera, also on the card, due to referee stoppage. Expect fireworks.

185 pound title fight:
Zac Childers 185
Robert Reavis 183
Five round Middleweight Title fight - Childers is in much better shape than he was for his MMA debut over a year ago (video below). The haircut works for him too. Reavis looks relaxed and ready to rumble.
